Kim Linsider, Accent ConsultantKim D. Linsider, Lead Accent Advisor, understands the need for effective accent management on a personal level. As a child, her family moved to the United States from their native South Africa. Their new home, Atlanta, Georgia, proved to be a melting-pot of accents, and Kim learned first-hand how important barrier-free communication can be. Growing up, she became determined to help others improve their speech and language skills and decided to pursue a career in Speech Pathology. As a Speech Pathologist, Kim first spent 4 years in the Atlanta Public School system working with children from pre-school through twelfth grade before transitioning to accent management and enhanced communication techniques for business and medical professionals. In 2001, Kim completed her certification in the Compton P-ESL method of Accent and Dialect Reduction and began seeing clients across a wide range of specialties in the global business community, including Technology, Medical, Financial, Performaing Arts and Engineering. By specializing in accent management for verbal personal correspondence, Kim has been able to help hundreds of clients from around the world, including Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, and the United States, improve their verbal techniques during meetings, phone conversations and conference calls, corporate presentations, productions and even interviews. Through her unique teaching methods, Kim’s clients learn the skills they need to consistently improve their verbal communication techniques on an ongoing basis.

Derek Gagnier

Derek Gagnier, Accent ConsultantDerek Gagnier is a professional actor, director and dialect coach. He is coordinator of the Acting program at Appalachian State University, and has helped hundreds of actors reach their goals with dialect challenges. Most recent dialect work includes work on the film, The World Made Straight, and productions of Promises, Don Quixote, The Glass Menagerie, Horn in the West and Noises Off. He is available for one-on-one dialect coaching with actors, weekend seminars or for long-term on-set film/tv coaching. Accents include: Standard British, Cockney, French, Irish, German, Russian, Scottish and Australian.

Laurie Chess, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist, American Accent Specialist

Laurie Chess, MS, CCC-SLPLaurie has more than 30 yrs. professional experience as a licensed speech-language pathologist. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing, Language Association (ASHA). She has studied TESL at the university level and trained as an accent reduction specialist with an internationally recognized expert in the field of accent modification. Laurie has a passion for cultural diversity, languages and language learning.

Sharon Feingold

Sharon Feingold, Accent TrainerSharon Feingold, MBA, is best known for her work as a voiceover actress. Her work can be heard daily on HGTV, STYLE Network, and as the voice of the transportation system (“Plane Train”) at the world’s busiest airport, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson. She has parlayed her MBA into a passion for helping small businesses flourish through brand, marketing and organizational consulting. She is certified as a COMPTON PESL-Certified accent coach and enjoys parlaying her entertainment industry experience to assist entertainment professionals – including voiceover actors, stage actors, tv/film professionals and those in other creative presentational or dramatic capacities.
